Working with our partners, the league office continues to support programs and initiatives that reduce barriers to opportunity in four priority areas.
Contribute to changing local and state legislation and policies through advocacy around criminal justice reform legislation. Increase awareness around social justice and racial equality issues that directly impact communities and engage the public in working towards solutions.
Support and promote efforts to provide equal access to education opportunities for low income communities and help formerly incarcerated juveniles and adults with reentry services, programs and resources.
Contribute to efforts to level the playing field and close the wealth gap for economically disadvantaged communities.
Support efforts to end racial disparity and the criminalization of poverty in policing and criminal justice. Establish greater trust between police and community and reduce instances of police brutality.
The NFL family, in partnership with players, clubs, owners, and the Players Coalition, effect positive change in their communities by supporting legislative initiatives in the four priority areas of focus: Education, Economic Advancement, Criminal Justice Reform and Police & Community Relations.
These player-led efforts have resulted in changes in voter laws, juvenile justice, criminal justice reform, improved funding for educational opportunities across the country and much more.
